Elegnano on stage at FTI Closing Festival

Elegnano founder, Katrien Herdewyn, was invited to give a keynote at the Technology and Innovation closing festival FTI in Antwerp. She took the stage at the Lotto Arena to share her views on the future of fashion tech.

After sharing the origins of Elegnano, bringing nanotechnology to the world of fashion and footwear, Katrien Herdewyn elaborated further on how the job market of tomorrow will not only need lots of people with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) degrees. As more and more industries, including fashion, are quickly embracing technology, the need for people with a background in one field and an interest or even passion for the other becomes essential. One of the easiest ways to innovate is by working at the intersection of two industries and letting solution strategies and ideas cross-pollinate.

And just a fun fact - Katrien got the same backstage room as Beyoncé when Queen B performed at Het Sportpaleis in 2014.
